Luis González Mendoza
Associate Director of Communications and Engagement
Luis González Mendoza serves as the Associate Director of Communications and Engagement for the National Council for Community and Education Partnerships. In this role, he manages organizational communications and marketing, focusing on amplifying the stories of the GEAR UP community and promoting NCCEP's products and services.
Luis is a first-generation college graduate born in Mexico and raised in rural Indiana. After graduating from Indiana University South Bend with a double major in Marketing and Advertising, Luis built a diverse career spanning the private and public sectors. He spent six years working in a private marketing research firm and then joined the City of South Bend's Department of Diversity & Inclusion under the leadership of Mayor Pete Buttigieg. He later held roles at the National Immigrant Justice Center and Noble Schools in Chicago before bringing his communications expertise to NCCEP.
