Youth Leadership Summit (YLS)

Congratulations to all the 2017 Youth Leadership Summit (YLS) scholars!

The 2018 Youth Leadership Summit (YLS) will take place July 15–18, 2018 as part of the NCCEP/GEAR UP Annual Conference in Washington, D.C.

The YLS provides a high-quality, national-level interactive training experience and peer-to-peer learning opportunity focused on life, leadership, and learning-to-learn skills for 9th–12th grade high school students who are currently participating in GEAR UP programs.

The YLS is open to current GEAR UP grantees interested in registering and accompanying with a chaperone one or more GEAR UP high school students. As of July 2018, eligible students will be rising 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th graders, or students who just graduated from high school (rising college freshmen) who are eligible for GEAR UP services.

For GEAR UP directors interested in reserving spots for the 2018 YLS, please send a request to Tyrec Grooms at tyrec_grooms@edpartnerships.org no earlier than January 1

If you have questions or need additional information, contact Tyrec Grooms.
