#10 Adding the GEAR UP “Sizzle”: Exploring Strategies to Further Engage Parents and Students in College and Career Readiness Activities Through Adventure Education
Presenters will share a variety of adventure education activities used by the Chicago GEAR UP Alliance to en¬gage parents, teachers and students in high school, college and career readi¬ness workshops. Attendees will “play along” and explore alternative ways to present valuable information on con¬flict resolution, high school transition, and standardized test preparation. Presenters will also discuss creative strategies to deliver workshop infor¬mation so that your audience remains engaged and involved.
