In an ambitious initiative, 10th and 11th graders from our expansive rural cohort came to college for four intense weeks! Students experienced college classes taught by professors, earning seven general education credits! This unique program used near-peer mentoring to guide the students through classes, homework, leadership and skill-building activities. Learn how we partnered with academic departments to make college courses accessible and affordable. Our programs increase the academic performance and preparation for college by creating repeated connections to CWU and to mentoring opportunities provided by undergraduates, graduate students, and faculty.
