Most GEAR UP programs are interested in tracking their students’ progress in math courses as part of their efforts to increase math course completion rates. In order to impact these rates, there is value in understanding the variety of methods programs used to define and account for course levels, course enrollment, course completion, and test proficiency for evaluation purposes. GEAR UP Tennessee has been examining math course data in 15 districts statewide. They will discuss the challenges, decisions, and outcomes related to this process, and will ask attendees to contribute their perspectives and experiences on the topic.
