National GEAR UP Week provides an amazing opportunity to motivate students to pursue their educational aspirations. GEAR UP in Texas and Vermont utilize multiple methods of reaching students, families, and communities. Through popular local celebrities and the art of storytelling, we were able to both entertain and help students and schools identify with GEAR UP to motivate students, parents, and educators to pursue their futures with intention and passion! Activities include college awareness, motivational speakers, educational outings, teamwork, and social media activities. Learn how to increase students’ participation by having activities in their school and through social media. With school buyin, complimentary curriculum, and local stars, following your dreams has never been easier! Our presentation will share what is involved in planning, organizing, and implementing activities designed to motivate and inspire students.
