Presenters will discuss the main successes and lessons learned from a 6-year rigorous quasi-experimental evaluation of the GEAR UP partnership grant in Philadelphia. Through an interactive discussion, participants will learn from the evaluator and the program staff about the implementation and outcome results of the evaluation and how these data are being used to inform programming and encourage buy-in from key stakeholders. Outcome analyses focus on academic achievement, school attendance, and dropout rates. Implementation results are based on surveys, interviews with key staff, and case studies of each participating high school.
