Concurrent Session #40 (Monday, July 21, 2014)

Whole Student, Grant Management

Public speaking is the #1 fear in North America!  In this workshop, presenters will illustrate key ingredients for giving a successful presentation.  Using examples of accomplished speakers, attendees will learn essential strategies for communicating effectively in front of an audience.  Furthermore, we will point out common mistakes and demonstrate how to avoid them.  To conclude, participants will have a chance to design a mini-presentation for the chance to win a prize!  Attendees will leave with tangible skills for future presentations, including limiting the nerves and uneasiness that can accompany this challenge.
