Evaluation, High Need
The presentation disseminates findings from a research project on the impact of GEAR UP on underserved Latino youths at a large urban community college. The research project focused on GEAR UP's impact on college readiness, financial aid awareness, and college academic success. In addition, the presenter shares pertinent information on the most effective GEAR UP interventions from the perspective of Latino youths. The research conclusions yielded several recommendations for practitioners to further enhance the quality of GEAR UP.
