NCCEP names three new members to the Board of Directors: Lisa Brady Gill, Ranjit Sidhu, and Aaron Thompson.  Board members will each serve a three-year term that ends on June 30, 2016.

NCCEP has named three new members to the NCCEP/GEAR UP Advisory Commission (GUAC).

As the non-profit organization that provides training, technical assistance, and advocacy support to the GEAR UP program, NCCEP responds to the policy brief published jointly by Princeton University and the Brookings Institution, calling for an overhaul of federally funded college access programs.

NCCEP announces the thirty members selected for the inaugural GEAR UP Alumni Leadership Academy (GUALA). GUALA is a 12-month pilot program designed to train and mentor GEAR UP alumni in advocacy and leadership.

In an effort to strengthen GEAR UP’s culture of evidence-based assessment, 15 Consortium states agreed to voluntarily adopt common data collection and evaluation practices, and document more comprehensively the impact of GEAR UP across local, state, and national levels of implementation.
