Sustainability: Positioning GEAR UP Programs for
Long-Term Success
This workshop focuses on how to create the successful conditions for
program sustainability beyond GEAR UP funding. The workshop will weave
together fundamental concepts, strategies and exercises that will help
attendees develop comprehensive sustainability plans. The workshop is
structured to provide:
- A deeper understanding of how sustainability and
institutionalization is achieved.
- Strategies for cultivating stakeholders, strengthening GEAR UP
communications and community-building.
- Creating a resource development plan for GEAR UP match and
sustainability.
The Sustainability Workshop is appropriate for individuals
who:
- Are interested in how to better forge links between their project
and broader community.
- Manage/direct college access programs.
- Work for new or established college access programs.
- Hope to institutionalize their work into the fabric of the
community.
