A Message from our President!

Dear Colleagues:

WELCOME to the National Council for Community and Education Partnerships (NCCEP) new, updated website!

Committed to creating and sustaining education partnerships, NCCEP works to promote students’ academic achievement and to expand their access to college. Postsecondary education is one of the single most important factors in determining an individual’s success in life, yet millions of young people from economically impoverished, minority, and rural communities still find the door to college all but shut to them. By building broadbased partnerships, linking schools and communities, developing new initiatives, supporting proven programs, and using research findings to create successful frameworks for action, NCCEP seeks to achieve the goal of equal educational opportunity for all.

NCCEP supports the partnership of colleges and universities with local schools, parent groups, government agencies, foundations, corporations, and community-based organizations in efforts to improve education at all levels, to expand education opportunities, and to assist students in becoming college eligible and academically successful in higher education.

The struggle to achieve greater access to higher education for all children regardless of social status or economic background is ongoing. We invite you to join us. Together, we can work to ensure that college attendance becomes a “dream come true” for every child.

Sincerely,

Hector Garza
President
