Current Grant Competitions:
NCCEP is now accepting proposals for the 2006 NCCEP Grants
Promoting Excellence and Innovation in Education. Grants will
support GEAR UP grantees by funding after-school and summer enrichment
programs in math, science, reading, and technological literacy, as well
as help both teachers and students use technology in the classroom to
enhance the teaching and learning functions and improve students'
academic performance. All current GEAR UP grantees throughout the
United States and U.S. territories are eligible to apply for this

Learn and Serve America, part of the Corporation for
National and Community Service, has released a Notice of funding
Opportunity for grant funds to support school-based, community-based,
higher education, and tribal and U.S. territory service-learning
projects. Funding is anticipated for the 2006-2007 school year, with
possible continued funding for two more years. Approximately $40 Million

Now in its third year, the National School and Business
Partnerships Awards, created by the Council for Corporate and
School Partnerships, recognize exemplary school-business partnerships
that improve the academic, social, or physical well-being of students.
Partnerships involving public schools and/or districts and businesses
are eligible to apply. The Council will make six awards; those selected
will get $10,000. Applications are due by January 30. For more

The National Science Foundation's Directorate for
Engineering's Office of Industrial Innovation (OII) Small Business
Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR)
programs, in collaboration with the Directorate for Education and Human
Resources' Division of Human Resource Development (HRD) invites all
active SBIR/STTR Phase II grantees to participate in a new supplemental
funding opportunity. The supplements for research teams are intended to
foster partnership between Minority-Serving Community Colleges (MSCCs),
which educate large numbers of underrepresented students, and the small
business community. NSF is seeking to increase the participation of
underrepresented groups in both academic and small business research by
