GEAR UP Data and Evaluation
NCCEP recognizes that program evaluation is an integral part of
managing, improving, sustaining, and advocating for a GEAR UP grant. We
provide a variety of services and tools to assist grantees in
collecting, sharing, and interpreting data. NCCEP has also launched a
National Evaluation Project to help sustain the GEAR UP initiative
nationwide.

The GEAR UP Data Website
GEARUPdata.org is the premier source of GEAR UP
data, evaluation, and research for educators, policymakers, researchers,
and other GEAR UP practitioners. Easily locate data on
national and local research, evaluation reports, and NCCEP's
National Evaluation Project. Click here to visit!
EVE Tool
EVE is an online tool for GEAR UP grantees to edit and verify
their grant APR data, and to enter additional data about their grant.
The GEAR UP grant data in EVE represents a minimum set of data for
grantees to collect as recommended by the NCCEP/GEAR UP Evaluation Council. By sharing your
GEAR UP data, we can better understand and communicate the extent,
benefits, and necessity of GEAR UP. Click here to get involved!

GEAR UP Reports
As the GEAR UP program matures, the body of research on the
effectiveness of GEAR UP is increasing. Click here to view, download, or email a variety of
national and local research and evaluation reports on GEAR UP. Adobe® Acrobat® Reader is required to
view most publications.
The Evaluator's Institute
NCCEP has worked with the Evaluator's Institute Planning committee, a
cross-section of experienced GEAR UP evaluators, to develop and
facilitate a series of learning opportunities on GEAR UP evaluation
through the NCCEP Evaluators Institute. The Evaluator's
Institute will be offered prior to the NCCEP GEAR UP Annual
Conference in Washington DC on July 20th, 2008, covering a
range of evaluation topics and targeted for individuals of different
evaluation experience. Information on the Evaluator's Institute
will be available in late spring.
