Improving the Odds

“My advice to other kids? Keep your grades up. You’ll have a better chance of getting into the college you want and finding scholarships.”--Anthony
Want an 80 percent chance of enrolling in college, regardless of your family’s income or ethnicity?*

Take these four steps, says a research analyst for the U.S. Department of Education:

  1. Graduate from high school.
  2. Be ranked in the top 75 percent of the class—and almost everybody who gets their work done is in the top 75 percent.

  4. Fill out and mail two forms:
--The FAFSA
--A college application
