NCCEP and the National
Endowment for Financial Education (NEFE) are excited to make
available an interactive Web site aimed at providing information on
financial literacy to youth. Written and produced as a public service by
the Denver-based NEFE, the website empowers students with sound
financial literacy skills to assist them on their successful pathway to
college and prepares them for a sound financial future. The information
provided targets youth at a critical time in their educational career
and provides vital education tools to aid them in gaining control of
their finances early on.
The purpose of this effort is to educate GEAR UP middle and high
school students nationally to make smarter financial decisions and
reflect on the multiple benefits of attaining a college education. The
Web site is free to all, and college access programs and families are
encouraged to explore all the information and activities included. To
visit the site, click here.
NCCEP and NEFE are excited to offer a free Facilitator's Guide to
accompany the Money Skills for Real Life: GEAR UP High School Web site.
