2010 Capitol Hill Visits: July 20, 2010
As part of the conference, we have set aside time from 2:00 PM to
6:00 PM on July 20, 2010 for professional networking. While we
encourage you to meet your GEAR UP peers and colleagues, we also urge
you to take some important steps to reach out to your Congressional
Delegation to meet with them and educate them about the impact that GEAR
UP is having in your community. Congressman Chaka Fattah has invited
each and every GEAR UP project to visit Capitol Hill during the
afternoon on the 20th to meet, brief and engage your representatives. As
you know, the great work of GEAR UP relies in part on our elected
leadership, so keeping your Congressional partners up to date is a
critically important task.
