Register Now for the 2012 NCCEP/GEAR UP Capacity-Building Workshop!

The National Council for Community and Education Partnerships is pleased to invite you to the 2012 NCCEP/GEAR UP Capacity-Building Workshop.

 The 2012 NCCEP/GEAR UP Capacity-Building Workshop provides professional development and strategic planning activities for new and experienced GEAR UP professionals to effectively meet their project goals and objectives. Most importantly, the Capacity Building Workshop is a unique opportunity to have your GEAR UP team learn and explore new concepts together, developing common strategies to positively impact the valuable college access work at your program sites. The Capacity-Building Workshop will address issues pertaining to STEM, parent engagement, meeting the needs of Rural schools, evaluation, and much more. The Capacity-Building Workshop is designed and coordinated by the National Council for Community and Education Partnerships (NCCEP) and planned in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Education.

This year’s Capacity-Building Workshop is different from the NCCEP/GEAR UP Annual Conference in that participants register for a specific strand each day over the three-day event. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore different topics during the workshop sessions, as well as the opportunity to participate in lively dialogue during Wednesday's roundtables.

Registration
Workshop registration is confirmed upon receipt of a confirmation number. Receipt of a confirmation number makes the registrant responsible for the full registration fee.

Substitution Policy
Substitutions may be made at any time; please notify Pamela Bradley at Pamela_bradley@edpartnerships.org to make the necessary adjustments.

Cancellation Policy
A written cancellation notice must be received on or before January 27, 2012 if you wish to cancel your registration. A $100.00 processing fee will be assessed on all cancellations. Refunds for canceled registrations will be issued after the Workshop. Cancellations received after January 27, 2012 will not be eligible for refunds. Individuals who FAIL to cancel their registration in writing on or before January 27, 2012 and who do not attend the conference will be considered no-shows and are liable for the full conference registration fee. Hotel Information
The 2012 Capacity-Building Workshop will be taking place at the Hilton New York in New York City, NY. We have made arrangements for discounted hotel rooms, but you must make your reservations by January 18, 2012 to take advantage of the special rate. Please be sure to give the reservation clerk the room block code: GEAR UP - Capacity Building Workshop 2012 to receive the discounted rate.
